Lucas Stables and Riding Academy is a premier horseback riding facility spanning over 37 acres of equestrian paradise, conveniently located in Gibsonville, NC. We offer a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment where people can discover the joy of horses.

Facility Walk Through

Lucas Riding Academy features a spacious 18-stall barn equipped with a riding ring, tack rooms, a climate-controlled office with a private restroom, and a farrier blacksmithing shop.

As a family-owned and operated business with five generations of professional trainers and instructors, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality equestrian experience in a well-maintained and welcoming environment.

Our equine facility prioritizes the well-being of horses while fostering a supportive environment for riders and staff. As you drive onto the property along our long gravel driveway, you will find the parking area beside the barn. The clean, wide gravel paths lead directly to the front doors of the barn.

We have two stables with indoor riding areas. Our 18-stall barn includes a climate-controlled lounge with a refrigerator, microwave, and a clean private bathroom. It features 18 spacious 12x12 horse stalls, neat and secure tack rooms for saddles, bridles, and equipment, a full indoor wash bay, and a seating area for spectators. Our second barn also has stalls, a tack room, and a viewing booth for watching activities in the arena.

There are several outdoor riding spaces around the facility, including an area beneath our large pecan tree overlooking the lake. Our Horse Trainers and Riding Instructors encourage taking horses and riders outside as much as possible. Nature and horses often go hand in hand, and being outdoors in the fresh air is invigorating. It encourages children and adults to embrace the beauty and peace that nature offers, reducing time spent indoors and promoting a healthy lifestyle. We also have two paddocks and three large horse pastures to allow horses to engage with nature as much as possible.
